Camera Happy!

Ok, so I am camera happy right now.  I am sure this blog will eventually die down to once a week or so, but for right now, it is so much fun taking pictures of Madelyn!  I was trying to convince her to smile today, and was successful.  I got a little too excited because I chopped off her head a little!  But - that's the only one I got that was good, so here it is!  Happy Leap Year!  :)

Ryan's mom left to go back home today after 12 short days of helping us!  She was a HUGE help, and we really enjoyed having her here!  Madelyn really enjoyed having her here and she enjoyed being held by her as well!  Thanks again for all that you did for us!  Come back anytime!

Grilling in the backyard

Yesterday, Ryan, his mom, Maddy and I enjoyed a nice evening in the backyard grilling out.  It's usually a treat for visitors to be in our backyard because the view is gorgeous, and it is very relaxing.  Hope you enjoyed the pictures!!!

Carrier

I am trying to get Madelyn adjusted to using a baby carrier.  Once Ryan's mom goes back home, I need to be able to walk Katie (my dog) and Madelyn at the same time.  I have two different baby carriers, and I think both of them are going to be really hot.  But - I think it will be much easier than taking a stroller.  I guess we will see.  This could get interesting!  hehe!

Rocker Chair...

Just another little picture of my beautiful little girl!  Madelyn has really grown quite fond of her rocker chair.  She sleeps in it for many hours of the day!  It is quite a bright-colored chair, but it fits its purpose!

I have realized that I just need to leave the camera out instead of putting it away.  It's like - Out of sight, out of mind!  I had a little fun playing with Madelyn today!  She is definitely dressed for our weather here!  Gotta love her!

Valentine's Day

It's been a busy week, but I still wanted to post a Valentine's Day picture.  Maddy was really excited to  go home to see her daddy, and she had to send him a picture of herself showing how much she loves him!  Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day!

Madelyn and I have been visiting my parents since she has been born, and now it is time to rejoin Ryan in Veracruz.  Maddy and I had such a great time being at home, and we will miss them very much!  Thank you for all that you have done for us!  You made our time at home very special!  We love you!

Today, my best friend, Ashlee, came over to help me get a few pictures of Madelyn!  Since I love cake soo much, I wanted to get a few pictures of her on a cake platter.  I had seen it on another person's blog, and had been obsessed with trying to get a few pics like the one that I had seen.  Unfortunately, I had waited a little too long, and should have done it when she was first born.  Madelyn is a bit too long now!  Oh well - it was worth the try!  Also - I had forgotten to shut the shades so the lighting wasn't too good.  I want to post a few pictures anyway!  After a while, I did shut the shades, and got a few pictures of her on the boppy.  Thanks for helping, Aunt Ashlee!

Life Changes...

Well, I can't believe it has almost been a year since I last posted.  Obviously, I need to work on this a little more.  But - in a year, a lot of things change....especially Life!  Last month, my husband, Ryan, and I welcomed our first bundle of joy to this world - Madelyn Marie.  We couldn't be happier to have her in our lives! 

I need to keep this blog going so that our friends and family can stay up-to-date on our little girl (and us - of course)!  Sooo...here goes nothing!
